NQ Portuguese Sea Salt is harvested from the pristine marine nature reserve of Ria Formosa, a protected area since the mid-eighties. The salt is unrefined, clear and white in appearance, completely hand-harvested by artisan salt farmers using age-old traditional methods. This not only mantains the delicate ecological balance of the reserve, but also retains the original goodness of sea salt, ensuring that it is free from contaminants and heavy metal residues.
